Welcome to the new digs! Here you'll find my most recent work. Check out my twitter feed for some up-to-the-minute effluent directly from my brain! Trust me, it's delicious.
Published by the Oregon Restaurant Association, Main Ingredient is a 32-64 page magazine dedicated to the restaurant industry. During my time there, I laid the magazine out and designed the covers and spreads of over twenty issues of the publication. This is but a small sample of my work - my favorite cover and some great spreads.
I really enjoy logo creation. There's something about distilling a complete message into a simple mark that gets my creative juices boiling.
These are some of the logos that I've had the opportunity to design during the course of my career - I would be happy to talk about any one of them in more depth, just call or email!
Each year KLM Foundation holds a race fundraiser for their students at Uplands College in Mpumalanga, South Africa. In each shirt design, I've captured the elements which make the race unique among marathons.
The left shirt, produced this year, was universally well received. The other two shirts (right) will likely be produced in 2012 and 2013.
This is a great example of some of the more complex production work I've done for clients.
Prior to the launch of Bridgeport's Haymaker and Beertown Brown, I was tasked with producing their six and twenty-four unit packaging using original artwork and design created by Elizabeth Morrow McKenzie. It was a fun challenge working three-dimensionally, as well as using overprint techniques with a limited number of inks.
Chocobo Tales, set in the Final Fantasy game universe, follows a young chocobo as he attempts to free his friends from the curse of an evil grimoire.
I had the opportunity to design the cover and layout the manual using licensed artwork from Square Enix. The cover is intended to appear as though the manual is an old tome, bound in stressed leather and worn down through ages.
This pamphlet, created for Travel Oregon, details the successes wrought by House Bill 2267, a plan to develop Oregon's tourism and hospitality industry into a key pillar of the state economy.
In 2006 I had the opportunity to develop some collateral for the state fair using illustrations by Howell Golson.
The look/feel that year was 'road trip', so we created a large, fold-out document that imitated a road map and contained all of the fair highlights. Additionally, I was able to design and create a pop-up invitation card for an event targeted to various luminaries and industry professionals.
